Where will your first flower grow?
How to play Word Garden
Choose a flower and an empty plot. Finish three care phrases to grow it from a seedling into a bloom. Grow three plants to complete your garden. Mistakes stay on the current letter; there is no timer or loss condition.
Select an existing pot, then an empty plot to rearrange it. The game saves locally as you type. Restore garden resumes saved progress, and Export garden downloads a backup. Browser storage can be cleared, so keep an export if you want a lasting copy. This release does not import backups or sync between devices.
Use Pause to take a break. Changing tabs also pauses. Reduced motion keeps the growth stages without animated transitions. Try more free typing games.
What this game trains
Typing without a clock. Every other game here measures you against time; this one does not, which makes it the right place to rebuild a habit you are trying to change — using the correct finger, or not looking down — without the pressure that makes people revert.
Who it suits
Beginners, younger learners, and anyone correcting a technique problem. Also the right choice on a day when a timer would put you off starting at all.
Common questions
Is a game with no timer actually useful practice?
For changing technique, it is better. A new habit is slower than the old one at first, and any clock pushes you back to whatever is currently faster. Removing the clock is what lets the correct movement survive long enough to become automatic.
What am I typing here?
Original care phrases written for the game, rather than generic word lists. They are ordinary English, so the practice transfers to real writing.
