YOUR PREP STATION
Let's make something delicious.
How to play Typing Restaurant
Select an order ticket, then type its three ingredients one letter at a time. Your plate fills as you prepare it. Serve the completed dish to its matching table. Six served orders complete a shift.
Relaxed mode has no deadline. Challenge mode gives each order 45 seconds and the kitchen four minutes. Three missed orders end the shift. All six orders must be served to win. Pause freezes the kitchen; changing tabs also pauses.
Your shift saves locally about once per second when browser storage is available. Restore shift brings it back paused. Progress does not sync between devices. Try more free typing games.
What this game trains
Typing accurately while tracking what comes next. Orders arrive and have to be matched to the right table, so part of your attention is always on the queue rather than on the keyboard.
Who it suits
People who type well in isolation but lose accuracy when something else needs attention — which is most of real work.
Common questions
What is the difference between the relaxed kitchen and the timed shift?
The relaxed kitchen has no clock, so you can work through orders at your own pace. The six-order shift adds time pressure and is the one that tests whether your accuracy survives it.
Does getting an order wrong matter?
Yes, and that is the point. Matching the right ingredients to the right table is a check that you read the order rather than typed the first thing you recognised — the same mistake that produces plausible-looking typos in real writing.
