By using Typometer you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

Typometer is a free educational typing service. It provides typing lessons, practice exercises and typing tests, together with analysis of your typing performance. There are currently no user accounts and no paid features.

This is a practice and training tool. We do not guarantee any particular typing speed, accuracy, examination result, certification or employment outcome. Results depend on practice, consistency and individual ability.

Speed and accuracy are measured in your browser using a documented method, explained on the typing test page. Different typing sites use different definitions, so scores are not directly comparable between them. Results from this site are not a formal or certified assessment.

You agree not to:

• attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the service;
• use automated tools to submit results or scrape the site at scale;
• copy the lesson content or code for commercial redistribution;
• use the service in any way that breaks the law where you live.

The software, design, lesson structure and exercise content are owned by the operator of this site. Educational text used in exercises was written for this project. You are welcome to use the site to learn and to teach; you may not republish its content as your own.

The service is provided free of charge and on an “as is” basis. It may be unavailable, changed or withdrawn at any time without notice. We do not promise any level of uptime.

To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

These terms may be updated as the product develops. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
