How often you will actually type these

In ordinary written English, Q accounts for about 0.1% of letters. Together that is roughly 0.1% of everything you type, so the time spent here is repaid across every word you write afterwards.

Q is one of the rarer letters, which is exactly why it is worth drilling deliberately: you will not meet it often enough for the habit to form on its own.

Where the mistakes come from

Errors are rarely random. A wrong key is usually the right finger travelling the wrong distance in its own column, which is why the fix is control rather than slowing down everywhere.
